Dr. Henderson, DC, CCSP

Dr. Henderson has practiced as a chiropractic physician in the Nashville/Brentwood community since 1982. A graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, and Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, he established his practice in Nashville in the spring of 1982 in the Hillsboro Village area. In 1988 he moved his clinic to Brentwood and has called it home ever since.
While practicing chiropractic and sports medicine, Dr. Henderson has been engaged in study programs through Southern California University since 2015 and began practicing Functional Medicine in 2016. Functional medicine is a personalized, objective practice that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. It is an evolution in medical care that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century.
Dr. Henderson assesses each unique case individually and thoroughly. He does not believe in the "one size fits all" approach. He takes the time to listen and understand each patient's needs and, with objective information, treats each patient to establish and treat the root of the disease.
As an avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys running, biking, swimming, and training for Spartan Races. He has influenced family, friends, and patients by "walking the walk" to move more and make healthier lifestyle choices.
Through the years, one of Dr. Henderson's favorite hobbies has been coaching youth sports teams. He also enjoys working with athletes during the summer months, as well as working on speed and conditioning with them in the off season. When he's not training, his favorite hobby is duck hunting in west Tennessee, Arkansas, and Canada. Every duck hunter needs a good dog and Dr. Henderson, the proud owner of 2 Labrador Retrievers, has enjoyed training Bear and Ace specifically as duck hunting companions.
Dr. Henderson's wife, Lynn, is a registered dietitian for St. Thomas Health Services here in Nashville. She has supported his interest in nutrition as he has educated and encouraged his patients to embrace healthy eating as a way of life. He has 2 children and 6 grandchildren whom he adores.
